The Dred reside under trees like the roots that lay beneath, their dens hollowed out from within the thick stretches of web-like, reaching tendrils to form burrows just below their sturdy trunks. Prone to flooding in the spring and not well insulated, they can make for a cold place to sleep. |

The Dire occupy rocky cliffside eyelets around the eye-like dome of the Grove's encompassing stone walls. Meandering passages formed by snowmelt are lit by dim glowing fungi, their light leading the way to openings overlooking the Pits. |
